Mumbai train commuters are in for some hard days as nearly 475 local trains will be off tracks over the next four days.
Railway authorities are working on building two additional lines to improve the situation.
The Western line goes from Church gate to Virar and during peak hours more than 5,000 commuters travel on each train.
Railway officials have advised passengers to take alternate trains or ease traffic on the local lines by taking the bus.
People will have to bear with this problem for convenience in the future, said Arunendra Kumar, DRM, Western Railway.
Local trains are considered as a lifeline of the countrys financial capital.
