Binani Cement, the flagship of the Rs 1,700-crore Binani group and a leading cement producer, is expected to enter into realty development in the current fiscal.
A source said Binani has proposed to develop 56 acre it owns in Thane into an IT park. The group plans to develop the land with a joint venture partner and is learnt to be looking at a few options in this regard, said the source.
Binani group managing director Vinod Juneja confirmed the development. We have plans for development of our land. The company has some options and the board will take a final decision for the development of the Thane land soon, he said. He did not give any more details, though.
