Mumbai’s office rents are 4th-highest globally

Amid a wobbly domestic realty market, office rents in Mumbai are the fourth most expensive in the world.

According to a research by real estate consultant Knight Frank, the commercial capital of India beats New York, Paris, Hong Kong, Shanghai and other global commercial hubs to the position in 2007 despite a dip in the rupee value.

Mumbais office rents have remained high due to mismatch in demand and supply in the commercial property space.

Gunman opens fire in Mahesh Bhatt’s Mumbai office

An unidentified gunman fired two rounds inside director Mahesh Bhatts office in suburban Juhu in Mumbai on Wednesday afternoon. The veteran director was not in the office at the time of the incident. No one was injured in the firing, and the gunman fled the scene on a motorcycle. He entered Bhatts office at noon and inquired about him from the staff. DMRC to set up its office in Mumbai next month

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), which is doing in-house consultancy for the line one and two of the Metro Rail project in the metropolis, would set up an office in the city by May, a top company official said. We will set up an office in Mumbai by next month, DMRC Managing Director, E Sreedharan, said here today. Some 10-odd DMRC officials would move from Delhi to the Mumbai office to oversee the work progres.
